The Humane Society of Highlands County, FL is a no-kill for space, not-for-profit organization helping unwanted dogs and cats find their forever homes.
We exist only on donations from you.

Pet Adoption

Come find your new best friend at the Humane Society of Highlands County. We save as many dogs, cats, and other animals as we can in order to find them their purrr-fect fur-ever home!

Pet Surrender

If you have a pet to surrender, please call the shelter ahead to check for space.

We always take back animals adopted from us.
